About Maya Kilburn
“I want to redefine what it means to be an artist in the 21st century.”
Maya Kilburn, 23, is a rising violinist and recent graduate of The Juilliard School, where she studied with Donald Weilerstein and Catherine Cho as a Kovner Fellow. Originally from Muncie, Indiana, she began her musical training with Chin Mi Kim and Anna Vayman, later continuing for several years with Mimi Zweig at Indiana University’s Jacobs School String Academy. She is currently a recipient of the Fulbright/Harriet Hale Wooley Award for the Arts in Paris.
